The new 3-story building addition at the Cleveland Clinic houses the new mechanical and electrical equipment serving the new Heart Center and other existing buildings within the downtown campus.

A new 1,000,000 BTU Boiler, five chillers with eight cooling towers producing 8,800 tons of cooling and five 2,200 KVA emergency generators were incorporated into the 19,000 sf addition.

As the General Trades Contractor, MCM Company managed the construction of the new building and all related tie-ins to the existing structure. Coordination of the mechanical and electrical components of the project was also a key element to the success of this project.

The new building sits in the center of the main campus creating logistical challenges for delivery of large building materials such as the structural steel and mechanical equipment.
